Is there an interviewer available in my zip code?
SAGAS interviewers are located all over the United States. We will connect your subject with the one closest to them.

Who are the SAGAS video interviewers?
SAGAS video interviewers are local professionals screened for their expertise, personality and interest in personal storytelling and oral history.

How can I make copies and allow others to see the video?
Your SAGAS video will be sent in the format you request: DVD, web, iPod or wireless phone. The DVD will arrive in an archive-quality tin to aid preservation.

If you would like additional copies, you can order them from your master video, which is stored with SAGAS.

How much does a SAGAS video cost?
A one-hour, one-person SAGAS video is approximately $400. Additional services can be added to enrich this priceless experience.

How long is a SAGAS video?
The basic SAGAS video is one hour. It can be extended or edited for an additional fee.

How can I view a SAGAS video?
SAGAS videos can be viewed on a DVD, on-line, iPod or wireless phone.

How long will you store my SAGAS Video?
SAGAS keeps your master video on its server indefinitely. Additionally, we can submit your video to the American History Collection at the Library of Congress for permanent archiving.

What will SAGAS interview subjects experience?
A SAGAS video interviewer contacts the subject to set up a convenient time and discuss the process. A half an hour before the scheduled interview time, the video interviewer arrives to set up. He/she works with the subject to select a comfortable location free from distractions and interruptions. The interview itself feels like an informal conversation between two people sitting on rocking chairs passing the time of day.

Where do the interview questions come from?
Using our documentary experience, SAGAS has developed interview templates to solicit the best stories.

Can I customize the SAGAS interview or ask you to focus on a particular story?
When you book your SAGAS interview, you may ask for the interview to cover particular themes. You will also help develop the interview through your answers to the Video Interview questionnaire

Where are SAGAS interviews conducted?
SAGAS interviews are conducted at an indoor location where the subject feels most comfortable, likely a home or an office. Outdoor locations may be used for an additional fee.

Can more than one person be in a SAGAS interview?
Yes. SAGAS videos can include more than one person, take place in more than one location, or include separate interviews with different people as part of our advanced services.
